(i wrote one year ago) kardashian karcrashian

i will forever be dumbfounded by the national fascination with family kardashian, featuring step-dad frankenjenner and those dizzy dames, proof positive that exorbitant child-support and inheritance need to be taxed heavily and in some cases, confiscated altogether, lest we end up with more self-indulged, privileged little brats scurrying about like empty-headed, scantily clad clowns, whose only contribution to culture and cause is just another pop-culture karcrashian contrived by E!, MTV and all the rest.

in all fairness, they probably don't think much about me either ("think" being the inoperative word).

The more often I get to say “I have no idea what you’re talking about, I’ve never watched that show.” The better I feel, and this is one of those times. I’ve never seen an episode of Survivor, Great Race, and whatever those other un-reality shows are called. And if MTV aired it after 1982 I missed that one too. I do agree with your inheritance tax viewpoint however. Second and third generation knuckle-draggers who swim in riches and success that they themselves never earned are dangerous to all thinking humans. I only had to watch a couple episodes of the George Bush Show to figure that one out.

randy, as we say in jersey, you are the goods. through all that great wit and humor, you have a nervous system that when reached becomes quite raw and nothin for nothin (another jersey expression) well expressed.

and just for the record, the last time i watched anything on MTV by my choice was michael jackson's debut of "thriller". now that isn't as far back as '82 but it isn't much later either.

Thanks Bob (I think.)
I don’t speak Jersey, but I always enjoy reading the reflections on the pond.
...Beats TV anytime.

Oooo, yous guys are taking me back - did I even ever watch MTV? Must have cuz I remember "Thriller" but that's about it. I can proudly say I've never watched any of the popular reality shows either. A good book or listening to a good talk show on the radio is a better use of my time.
