851. who says keaton doesn't have a sense of humor

okay okay okay!
i know that it may seem like keaton doesn't have a sense of humor with the frozen pork chops and all the manstake corrections already.
but she does.
a very precise one at that, as demonstrated by the following.

i asked for a drum set for christmas.
i told her it doesn't have to be big.
a small set would do just fine.
all i wanted was be able to play the drum solo to "inna gadda da vida" again, just like i used to back in the sixties on my old slingerland skins (sorry, drum talk).
and that's what i got.

the iron butterfly never sounded so heavy, man!

Incessant finger tapper are you? I think they'd sound better without the toothpicks.

Cool! So now lugging your set to every venue on your tour won't be so much of a pain. Awesome!

speaking of the tour, i just signed a one night solo performance at "big billy's museum of miniature theaters" over in lobottinny, pa. i'm playing two sets: one in the replica of the fillmore east and the other in the fillmore west. coast to coast in a little over three feet. the show is being billed as "a little ginger baker".

Will you be playing his "My Heart's in Little Pieces?"

not unless i'm strung out on lsd to play it properly, and that's not going to happen any time soon (or late for that matter).
