i've always been suspicious of the logic: we need to go to war so our children's generation might live in a world of peace.
given that every generation preceding has had such a war, it's hard for me to see how this notion actually works.
but then again, i can be so contrary sometimes.

AND...what about the children in the war torn areas where we are fighting? Where is their peace? What is it we are actually fighting for again?
War is not healthy for children and other living things...and that means globally.
