517. the sushi bar tip dilemma

it happened again last night.
how do i tip at a sushi bar?
if i put the tip in the jar on the sushi bar, i run the risk of upsetting the wait staff.
if i leave the tip with the bill, i have to hope the sushi chef thinks all the patrons look alike or i run the risk of poisoning the next visit.
if i split it up, they'll all think i'm cheap.

so the best i can do is say loudly, thank you very much!
and wait for eye contact from all.
then deftly display the money i'm leaving with the bill and the money i drop in the jar.

but that's a lot of work and not always practical.
there's got to be a better way.
i suppose not caring so much might be one of them.

Just leave 20% of the tab & everyone is happy. And if they're not, tough noogies.
