(from the files) 242. is it a date?

my son said, so she called me and wanted to meet for dinner and then do a walk about town.
i said, sounds like a date to me.
he said, i’m not so sure. she calls it a ‘‘catching-up”.
i said, catching up through “im'ing” is one thing, but during dinner and a walk about wholly another.
he said, it’s different now.
i asked, well then how are you gonna know if it's a date for sure?
he said, here’s the deal. if she straightens her hair, it’s a date. if it's pulled back in a pony tail, it’s a “catching-up”.
i said, it sure is a different world.
he said, oh baby!
