87. a good day in republican america

well, it’s unanimous.
the ten republican candidates believe it would be a good day in america when roe v. wade is overturned.
the volume of agreement ranged from brownback’s elative “it would be a glorious day for human liberty and freedom” to giuliani’s lukewarm “i’m okay with that”.
of course, a few hedged their delight by adding that it’s a states’ issue, which translates into one version of pro-choice: wealthy women can either have the child or travel to a state providing abortions safely, and poor women can either have an unwanted child or take a chance on a back-alley death sentence.
i guess that is one definition of a woman’s right to choose.
