22. imus in the mourning

it’s more than the cold racist remarks about the rutgers women’s basketball team.
it’s his addiction to power and self importance, and the free pass he thinks he has had as a result.
now he is mourning the loss, speaking pathetically of all his noble undertakings, of his black friends, of his worthiness.
that he is a good person who said a bad thing.
he is mistaken.
he was a comfortable person who said a comfortable thing.
and i have to say, he is anything but comfortable these days.
however, only when he understands "why", will i rethink his chances of making any real change.
in the meantime, he sounds like a clueless dope.
